Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera Speaks at the Learning Forward Annual Conference and Accepts Policymaker’s Award on Behalf of Governor Polis

AURORA - Today, Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera delivered opening remarks at the Learning Forward Annual Conference in Aurora. The conference brought together educators from across the country to discuss the importance of professional learning in meeting the needs of all students.

Lt. Governor Primavera discussed the critical role education plays in shaping Colorado's future and driving the state's strong economy and highlighted the important work of the Polis-Primavera administration in supporting Colorado educators through investments in professional development, improving wages, and enhancing school funding.

"I am honored to be part of the Learning Forward Annual Conference and to recognize the dedication of educators who make a difference in the lives of students every day," said Lt. Governor Primavera. "We are deeply committed to investing in our teachers and their professional growth because we know that strong education systems are the foundation for a thriving society."

During her appearance, Lt. Governor Primavera also accepted the Learning Forward Policymaker's Award on behalf of Governor Jared Polis. The award recognizes Governor Polis' leadership in advancing education policy in Colorado. In addition to his work in Colorado, Governor Polis has served on the Colorado State Board of Education and advocated for education at the federal level, including his current role as Chair of the National Governors Association.

"I'm proud to accept this award on behalf of Governor Polis, whose unwavering commitment to education is evident in everything he does," Lt. Governor Primavera continued. "This recognition is a testament to his leadership and belief that investing in education is one of the best investments we can make in Colorado's future."

The conference hosted approximately 3,000 educators, who participated in professional development sessions focused on coaching, mentoring, leadership development, and curriculum-focused learning. The event offered educators the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and connect with peers across the country.
