The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is pleased to announce Stage One selections for our Worldwide Architecture and Engineering Design Services Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
OBO remains committed to finding the best firms from across the country for the next round of Worldwide Design Services contracts. OBO attended numerous national and local events and held hundreds of conversations directly with architects and engineers, providing detailed information about the program and addressing queries regarding competitiveness for the solicitation.
OBO conducted multiple small business roundtable events and released a Sources Sought Request For Proposal (RFP) to understand the breadth of capable small businesses. While these non-binding RFPs do not result in contract awards, they are invaluable in shaping the scope of upcoming RFPs. This extensive industry engagement resulted in the largest number of proposals ever received for this solicitation and the most regionally diverse list of architects and engineers to progress to Stage Two.
A multidisciplinary technical advisory panel deliberated extensively to develop the list of finalists. OBO will conduct interviews in the coming months to narrow the list to the most highly qualified firms, who will progress to Stage 3, which will include a formal solicitation with price proposal. The most highly qualified firms will receive an IDIQ contract award, pending facility clearance, to perform a wide range of design and engineering services for U.S. diplomatic facilities worldwide.
The Stage One finalists are as follows:
The Stage One RFP and interview schedule will be released directly to the selected finalists.
