Folsom History unveils clean blacksmithing project powered by SMUD

On Saturday, Folsom History is set to unveil an innovative clean blacksmithing project, made possible by a SMUD Shine award of about $8,000. The funding supports the addition of electric-powered induction forges to The Square, significantly advancing blacksmithing training programs while reducing environmental impact.

During the event, Folsom History will conduct a live forge demonstration, provide an educator presentation and offer a tour of The Square.

WHAT:Unveiling of Clean Blacksmithing Project

WHEN:Saturday, September 14, 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

WHERE:The Square, 196 Wool Street in Folsom
