San Leandro Station: temporary closure of pedestrian entrance starting 9/9

Starting September 9, 2024 the W. Estudillo Ave pedestrian entrance to the San Leandro BART station, adjacent to the San Leandro Tech Campus (SLTC), will be temporarily closed for construction of pedestrian improvements. This work will improve access and safety for our customers by widening the sidewalk, removing fencing and overgrown landscaping, and installing a high-visibility crosswalk and new pedestrian-scale lighting. The work will be completed in approximately six weeks.

During the work, signs will be posted to help you find your way around the construction. The map and description below show the pedestrian detour.

As you exit the faregates, turn left and left again to follow the sidewalk along the bus area. Turn left on San Leandro Blvd. Turn left on Davis St. Turn left on the Martinez St Pathway.

For those traveling to the station on W. Estudillo Ave from Alvarado St: Turn left on the Martinez St Pathway. Turn right on Davis St. Turn right on San Leandro Blvd. Turn right along the bus entrance and follow the sidewalk to the faregates.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this important work.
