Jen Kiggans and Derrick Anderson Continue to Embrace Trump’s Call to Pardon Violent Insurrectionists

Jan. 6th insurrectionists led to the deaths of five Capitol police officers and injured 140 others

Yesterday, Donald Trump spouted numerous horrific comments during an interview with the NABJ, including reiterating his pledge to pardon the violent insurrectionists who attacked police officers on January 6th:

Reporter: "My question is about those rioters who assaulted those officers. Will you pardon them?"

Trump: "Absolutely. I would."

This is Trump's most explicit promise yet to pardon violent criminals.

Kiggans and Anderson must answer to Virginians for their continued endorsement of Trump and his calls to pardon fellow insurrectionists and convicted criminals, even those who assaulted police.

DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
"Jen Kiggans and Derrick Anderson have refused to denounce Trump's repeated efforts to pardon the rioters who attacked police on January 6th. If Kiggans and Anderson can't stand up for law and order against Trump, why would Virginians ever trust them to do so back home?"
