City of Annapolis Government Offices Closed on Monday, September 2 in Observance of Labor Day

Annapolis, MD (August 19, 2024) - City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day.

There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, September 2nd (Labor Day). Monday's collection will shift to Tuesday and Tuesday's collection will shift to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain unchanged.

On Labor Day, Annapolis Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule. The Magenta shuttle will operate 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Annapolis Transit offices will be closed, but parking will be enforced.

The Pip Moyer Recreation Center and Stanton Community Center will both be closed in observance of the holiday. The Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park and the Leron M. Fisher Pool at Harbour House will both be closed.

WEEKEND ADVISORY:First Sunday Arts Festival will be held on West and Calvert Streets on Sunday, September 1st beginning at 11 a.m. The streets and parks on West and Calvert Streets will include more than 150 vendors, food trucks and live music. West Street from Church Circle to Calvert Street will be closed to traffic and parking until the event concludes at 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.iwsAnnapolis.com.
