Road Closure and Detour Notice for Hobbs Creek Bridge Along CR 168

County Road 168 will experience roadway closures and detours between Pine Barren Road and Raines Road beginning Wednesday, July 3. The construction and detours are expected to remain in effect for approximately 90 days.

Construction will consist of emergency bridge rehabilitation to the bridge running over Hobbs Creek.

Traffic will be detoured along the intersection of CR 168 and Pine Barren Road south to Bratt Road, then detoured eastbound along Bratt Road to CR 4, then eastbound to CR4 to Raines Road, and Raines Road northbound to CR 168.

A formal Maintenance of Traffic Plan was submitted and approved by the Escambia County Engineering Department on July 3, 2024. Tim Carden, Escambia County Bridge Program Manager, was responsible for the submittal of the approved MOT Plan and has a valid certificate for Advanced MOT training.
