Body

As part of the Cabrillo and Los Patos Roundabout Project, eastbound traffic on Cabrillo Boulevard at the Roundabout will be closed from Tuesday, December 3 to Wednesday, December 4 to allow for drainage and paving work. Through traffic will be detoured back to Milpas Street, while Los Patos Way and Channel Drive will remain accessible.

Pedestrians: The Cabrillo Beachway will remain open, and pedestrian traffic can use Channel Drive via the permanent refuge island on Cabrillo Boulevard for access to Hot Springs Road and Montecito.

Cyclists: Cyclists can either share the road (with signage in place) or dismount and use the pedestrian route through the refuge island to Channel Drive for access to Hot Springs Road and Montecito.

Temporary construction signage will be posted during the closure. This work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled in the event there is significant rain in the forecast.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes or detour via Milpas Street and should expect some delays during peak traffic hours.

The anticipated completion date is late February 2025.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our community's infrastructure.
