Legacy of Efficacy

In a disinfection market filled with "innovative" cleaners that have started revealing their shortcomings (from peeling paint to ineffective results), the science of SteraMist's ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (iHP) has a multi-decade history of research and validated results. The value of SteraMist goes even further beyond many pharmaceutical-grade decontaminations. SteraMist iHP is found in many government and university laboratories and is behind many of the world's leading biological products.

Pushing the Limits of Testing for Efficacy

Originally funded by a DARPA grant to address weaponized Anthrax (bacillus anthracis spores), SteraMist has undergone an extensive history of testing and commercialization in various industries. While SteraMist passed the rigorous efficacy testing required for an EPA hospital-healthcare registration, the reductions and compatibility ultimately showed potential far beyond. To help reinforce the results and provide peace of mind to more demanding customers, iHP was tested via third-party laboratories with repeatable validation against Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores, Bacillus atrophaeus spores, and Bacillus subtilis spores - all notoriously difficult-to-kill microorganisms and industry efficacy standards.

SteraMist's efficacy comes with zero compromises and zero stabilizers. Its precise formulation ensures zero residue is left behind due to the absence of stabilizers. Unlike other chemical cleaners, BIT Solution's composition provides powerful disinfection without leaving harmful residues, ensuring a noncorrosive environment while delivering powerful decontamination.

Different in Every Way That Matters

If it uses hydrogen peroxide and creates a fog, it's all the same, right? Wrong. SteraMist produces a fine mist that might look like any other fog, but the science lies in the cold plasma. This revolutionary disinfection is made possible by a key difference: iHP emulates atmospheric chemistry science with cold plasma, moving like a gas to quickly reach every hidden corner of surfaces, equipment, and enclosed spaces. The biggest difference? Surfaces and air are disinfected with the efficacy of 6-log and greater reductions without extended downtime and long-term equipment damage.

Broad-Spectrum Results & Use Sites

The cold plasma process of ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (iHP) creates hydroxyl radicals, submicron-sized particles able to kill or inactivate dangerous microbes within seconds or minutes of contact, depending on the size of the space. SteraMist produces a repeatable efficacy of 6-log or greater reductions in endless spaces, surfaces, and industries.

SteraMist features broad-spectrum efficacy against a growing number of common and uncommon microbes, including all influenzas (including H1N1 and H5N2 Avian Flu); bacteria such as Escherichia Coli, MRSA, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa; 45 different molds, including Clostridium difficile spores; and viruses such as Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV). Additionally, SteraMist also includes efficacy against both Chemical & Biological Biohazards (CWA & BWA), including Anthrax, Ricin, VX (Nerve Agent), and Sulfur Mustard.

Embracing the New Standard

After extensive EPA testing and additional validation through third-party laboratories, SteraMist has provided customers and companies around the globe with the highest quality of disinfection technology. Regardless of the industry - from healthcare facilities and laboratories to schools and public spaces - ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (iHP) continues setting a new standard with high-log reductions, incredible material compatibility, and short downtimes for a new generation of healthy environments. As the world adapts to stricter hygiene protocols, we invite you to try SteraMist disinfection technology. Are you at risk of microbial contamination? Contact us today!
