Stormwater Improvements Planned Next Week on Several State Highways in Bucks, Chester, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that stormwater improvements are planned on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties, under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of lane closures on Monday, August 19, through Friday. August 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the following locations:

• Route 213 (Maple Avenue/Old Lincoln Highway) between S. Bucks Town Rd and Wheeler Way in Middletown Township, Bucks County, for paving and road repair.
• Highland Avenue between Avenue F and Hulmeville Road in Middletown Township, Bucks County, for paving.
• County Line Road between Princeton Road and Route 232 (Second Street Pike/Huntington Pike) in Upper Southampton, Bucks County and Lower Moreland, Montgomery County, for stormwater replacement.
• Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Willing Way and Phoenixville Pike in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, for stormwater replacement.
• Cedar Hollow Road between Jacqueline Drive and West Central Avenue in Willistown Township, Chester County, for paving.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
