This October, the University of Barcelona's Historic Building opened the Bar Bernat Pescaire. It is an open-air wooden bar, installed in the picnic area of the gardens, and has been named after this bird. In spring, a grey heron caught everyone's attention when it ate the fish in the pond in the Sciences Courtyard. The name of the new bar in the Historic Building is a tribute to this star of university life. The image of the bar is the work of the designer Alex Orlich, who has captured the essence of the animal's mischievousness with a modern and simple design.

The company Degusto Arte is in charge of the restaurant service at Bernat Pescaire, which is open from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m., Monday to Friday. On the menu you can find hot and cold drinks, pastries, homemade sweets, and both sandwiches and wraps. The bar will offer vegan products and speciality coffees too.
