Two SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Centers Opening This Week to Help ...

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will open Disaster Loan Outreach Centers on Thursday, September 12, in Lewis and Essex counties. The SBA is opening these centers to assist New York businesses and residents with losses due to the severe storms that occurred on July 10, 2024. Those in Lewis, Essex, Clinton, Franklin, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Oneida, Oswego, St. Lawrence, Warren, and Washington counties who were impacted by the storm may be eligible for low-interest SBA loans.

Customer support representatives will help individuals complete applications and answer questions about the SBA disaster loan program.

Lewis County

Dates of Operation: September 12 - 27, 2024

Opening Day: Thursday, Sept. 12: 11 AM - 6 PM

Normal Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Friday: 9 AM - 6 PM
  • Saturdays: 10 AM - 2 PM
  • Sundays: Closed

Closing Day: Friday, Sept. 27: 9 AM - 4 PM

Essex County

Dates of Operation: September 12 - 30, 2024

Opening Day: Thursday, Sept. 12: 11 AM - 6 PM

Normal Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Friday: 9 AM - 6 PM
  • Saturday, Sept. 14: 10 AM - 2 PM
    • Closed: Saturday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 28
  • Sundays: Closed

Closing Day: Monday, Sept. 30: 9 AM - 4 PM

Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, can dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is November 8, 2024. The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 9, 2025.
