Welcoming Idulfitri 2023, BCA Preps Rp69.48 Trillion in Cash

Jakarta, April 4, 2023 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) ensures the availability of Rp69.48 trillion in cash to meet an expected surge in demand for currency during the fasting month Ramadan and Idulfitri 2023 festivities. The amount has increased 10% from the holy month and Eid last year.

The mobility restrictions this year have been loosened, hence the economic activity and public consumption nearing Idulfitri are expected to be higher than last year. In line with this, BCA anticipates increasing transactions by preparing services that create easiness for customers.

In addition to cash availability, BCA also ensures that customers' needs to exchange money are fulfilled. In the Jabodetabek area, BCA is ready to facilitate customers with money exchange services at 46 Main Branch Offices (KCU), one mobile cash car in the Istiqlal Mosque area during the period 3-14 April 2023, as well as at the KM 57 Rest Area of the Jakarta Cikampek Toll Road during 17-19 April 2023.

"Our services during Ramadan and Idulfitri are a manifestation of our commitment to provide excellent services for all customers so that they can transact safely and comfortably. As known, the "banking from anywhere" trend has now become the new standard for banking operations and activities. Therefore, BCA also projects an increase in the number of transactions ahead of Eid will also occur in BCA's digital channels.

For information, BCA mobile banking transaction volume reached more than 3 billion transactions in the first two months of 2023, or grew 54.4% YoY. Meanwhile, internet banking transaction volume reached nearly 800 million transactions in the same period.

Meanwhile, the value of BCA's internet banking transactions reached Rp2,797 trillion and BCA's mobile banking reached Rp1,016 trillion in the first two months of 2023, growing 13.4% YoY and 36.0% YoY respectively.

During the holy month of Ramadan 1444 H, BCA also made adjustments to the operating hours of branch offices until 14:30 local time. However, BCA will remain ready 24 hours to serve customers' needs for transaction through digital services available in the myBCA application, BCA mobile, KlikBCA internet banking, and the BCA Setor-Tarik ATM network.
