The audit was conducted from 15 to 18 April 2024, and was coordinated with the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), which carried out their annual checks of the facility.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to monitor that the operation of electrical facilities and the requirements for responsible persons for electrical facilities are being fulfilled in accordance with the regulations. Verification was also made of whether technical safety systems are being operated and maintained so as to fulfil their designated functions. The audit also aimed to improve cooperation and share experiences with DSB in electrical systems and electrical safety on mobile facilities.

Result

The audit identified the following regulatory non-conformities:

  • Deficient operational and organisational performance requirements
  • Deficiencies in passive fire protection
  • Deficiencies in ignition source control
  • Deficient follow-up of temporary installations
  • Work in and operation of electrical facilities
