The Österreichischen Blasmusikjugend presented this year's "JUVENTUS MUSIC 2024 Innovationspreis der Österreichischen Blasmusik" to the Kepler Wind Orchestra in recognition of particularly sustainable projects designed to support, encourage, and foster the musical community. Out of 25 submissions, the Kepler Wind Orchestra won an award in the "Musical-Creative Projects" category award for its project "Der KBO Code - Auf den Spuren da Vincis".

The award was presented in recognition of a partnership between the JKU COOL Lab (Let IT Dance) and the Kepler Wind Orchestra. The project brought music and computer science together, introducing the audience and children (grades 3-6) to the basics of computer programming in a particularly creative and playful way.

As a result, the Kepler Wind Orchestra successfully shared its enthusiasm and passion for music and technical course content at the Johannes Kepler University by providing kids and teens with an understanding of the world of music and computer science in an entertaining way.
