Geneva College Launches Preferred School Initiative

Geneva College is excited to launch the Geneva College Preferred School Initiative. This program establishes partnerships with select Christian schools to further advance the work of Christian education for the purpose of educating young men and women to live lives of faithful and fruitful service wherever God might call them.

The Geneva College Preferred School Initiative deepens the existing relationship with commitments and opportunities that will be beneficial to both institutions and ultimately the students whom we serve.

Some highlights of the program include:

  • Provide graduates from preferred schools with additional scholarship and grant opportunities.
  • Provide full-time staff and educators at preferred schools a discount on graduate or online programs offered at Geneva College.
  • Increase the opportunities for Geneva Education majors to gain practical experience working with the preferred school.
  • Partnering with high schools in the development of teachers and staff with the investment of time and resources by Geneva faculty and leadership.

"One of the beautiful things about Geneva is that we bring students from across our region and the world to spend four years together on our campus." said Willem de Ruijter MAHE '14, Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing. "Our Christian school partners are our partners in the work of education for formation - this initiative is a manifestation of our shared mission to equip young men and women to live lives of faithful and fruitful service wherever God might call them."

Five Christian schools from Pennsylvania and Ohio have committed to partnering with Geneva College in this new program.

The Preferred Schools are:

  • Beaver County Christian School, Beaver Falls, PA
  • Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, Cuyahoga Falls, OH
  • Eden Christian Academy, Sewickley, PA
  • Heartland Christian School, Columbiana OH
  • Trinity Christian High School, Pittsburgh, PA
