Railroad Crossing Maintenance Begins Next Monday in Washington and Westmoreland Counties

Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing scheduled railroad crossing closures for maintenance beginning next week. This information is provided as a public service announcement only. It is not a PennDOT project.

Monday, November 11 to Saturday, November 16:
Route 136 (Main Street) will be closed between Water Street and Second Street in West Newton Borough, Westmoreland County, for work by CSX Transportation.

  • Route 51 (Clairton Boulevard)
  • Interstate 70 (Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway)
  • Route 31 (Mount Pleasant Road)
  • Route 136 (Main Street)
​​Monday, November 18 to Friday, November 22:

Route 1009 (Pike Street) will be closed between Country Club Road and Manifold Road in Chartiers Township, Washington County, for work by Wintrow Construction.

  • I-79
