SBU Eats Unveils New Concepts on Campus Enhancing the Dining Experience

Over the summer, the SBU Eatsteam worked diligently to transform dining locations throughout campus with inviting new spaces, delicious new menu items, the expansion of mobile ordering, and additional outdoor seating areas. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee, savoring a fresh meal, or relaxing with friends, the latest enhancements are sure to make your dining experience memorable.

"The SBU Eats team aims to enrich campus life by offering a diverse dining experience that caters to the tastes and preferences of our community. We are confident that the quality of service and culinary creations that will be delivered in all of our dining locations will far exceed expectations. Many of the changes to our dining program are a direct result of the valuable feedback we have received from the SBU community," stated Diana Kubik, executive director, Auxiliary Services Association.

Elevate Your Coffee Break at the New Starbucks Café

Experience the newly renovated Starbucks at the Melville Library with expanded hours! This vibrant space features three state-of-the-art barista workstations designed for faster, more efficient service. The stunning new storefront is adorned with large, picturesque windows, filling the café with natural light, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. A separate entrance for mobile orders is located next to Shop Red West to ensure a quick and seamless pickup. Guests can use their Starbucks app to earn and redeem rewards on their favorite beverages.

Explore Fresh Flavors and Stylish Remodeled Dining Spaces

To make dining on campus even better, SAC Food Court, East Side Dining and Jasmine at the Charles B. Wang Center have received incredible makeovers and delicious new menu items. At SAC Food Court, the WokWork stir-fry station has expanded to accommodate six customers at a time for quick made-to-order meals. Carvel Ice Cream and Iron Waffles, a sweet and savory treat on a stick, are new concepts added to the East Side Dining retail boulevard. The new sushi station inside Jasmine's main dining room was remodeled to offer the convenience of a separate line queue from the main serving area. The J-Club at Jasmine now features a comfortable seating area and a lush living wall that infuses the indoors with a refreshing touch of nature.

Roth Cafe is spicing things up with the addition of Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen, serving up New Orleans-style fried chicken loaded with authentic Cajun and Creole flavors. Roth Cafe is a five-minute walk from SAC Food Court and also offers Subway, Smash n' Shake burgers and milkshakes, Savor pasta sauté, and Starbucks on the lower level.

The School of Dental Medicine now has a cafe offering breakfast specials, bagels, paninis, hot entrées, snacks and the perfect brew of Starbucks coffee.

Dine and Unwind Outdoors

Autumn is a great time to relax and unwind in the new outdoor seating areas added to the Jasmine patio, outside of Starbucks at the Melville Library, and the patio behind West Side Dining.

You can make the most of the season by visiting the expanded SBU Eats food truck fleet, which now includes Nathan's Famous truck at SAC Plaza, serving up chicken tenders, crinkle-cut French fries, and the world's most famous hot dogs. Plus, with mobile ordering available at all food trucks, enjoying your favorite meals has never been easier!

On game day, as you cheer for the Seawolves, get ready for excitement beyond the action on the field. Stadium concessions now feature iconic Nathan's Famous hot dogs and delicious treats from Carvel.
