During 2024 the European Union continued to increase its activities in the TMT field. The new regulations and proposals will significantly affect companies operating in the TMT sector and beyond, prompting accountability and cooperation between the various stakeholders.
From privacy and cybersecurity, to advertising and media; from consumer protection and e-commerce to cryptocurrencies and tax rules; from telecommunications and connected devices to AI systems and related liabilities: every business should embrace the opportunities (and challenges!) that lie ahead.
A number of the proposed acts described in the previous edition have already been adopted by European authorities and their dates of application are imminent. This makes it all the more worthwhile to acquaint yourself with the rights and obligations arising from them.
