In response to President Claudia Sheinbaum's directive, cabinet secretaries and federal agency heads met to advance the Humanitarian Mobility Model and further the work of the Interministerial Commission for Comprehensive Migration Management (Ciaimm). The meeting focused on enhancing coordination of the model and establishing a task force to review and update the decree creating the Ciaimm.

The officials emphasized that migration remains a top priority for the federal government. They acknowledged the progress made over the past six years and called for continued coordination in refining the model.

Foreign Secretary Juan Ramón de la Fuente stated, "President Sheinbaum has directed us to maintain our coordinated approach. We are tasked with reviewing the mobility model to update it, building on our collective experience, while keeping what has worked well. The commission exists precisely to make any necessary adjustments or adaptations."

Key outcomes of the meeting include plans to strengthen the Humanitarian Mobility Model and form a group to review and update the decree establishing the commission.
