Project Description: The action involves a request to amend existing Adirondack Park Agency permits for a mineral extraction to change the mining method from open pit above ground to room and pillar underground, allow for Saturday operating hours 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for above ground activities, allow for year-round underground mining activities 24 hours/day, and allow underground blasting Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No changes are proposed to processing methods or quantity of material processed, off-site truck trips, or lateral extents of the mine.
