On August 7, 2024, at approximately 10:57 p.m., Pueblo Police Dispatch received a call of an armed robbery that had just occurred on the 3200 block of Lake Avenue. A female and a male armed with a gun, entered the store and stole money and cartons of cigarettes. After exiting the store, they fled the area in a white four-door vehicle.
Dispatch indicated that a GPS device was taken with the stolen items, and aired location information which led officers to the area of Beech St. and Ash St. Dispatch then identified the tracker was plotting in the alley behind 1710 E. Ash St. As officers were arriving in the area, one officer said he had eyes on the suspect vehicle which was southbound on Queens Ave.
A pursuit was authorized and continued for several minutes before the vehicle wrecked into a fence at the corner of E. 4th Street and Norwood Avenue. Three parties were removed from the vehicle, placed in custody and then later transferred to the Pueblo County Justice Center.
A search warrant was executed on the suspect's vehicle and officers recovered several items from the robbery, which included the clothing the suspects were wearing, a Glock 42 .380 caliber handgun, and the personal items stolen from the store clerk.
