The B[Link] revard County Sheriff's Office is identifying the female who was found dead near the roadway on Eber Boulevard in unincorporated West Melbourne, on Monday, November 4, 2024. The female is identified as 20-year-old, Aniya Sheppard of Fort Pierce.
The investigation began when deputies responded to the area of Eber Boulevard near Buddy Drive at approximately 6:40 p.m., after a deputy was advised by a citizen that there appeared to be a body laying just off the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies located a female victim who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing as agents continue conducting interviews and evaluating evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that the victim was the intended target of this violent attack.
