In order to ensure broad participation and the ability for every citizen to offer comments, comments made at public hearings may be time-limited.
These local public hearings will be held in facilities that meet the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
To attend a virtual local public hearing by WebEx video (internet), visit the website
www.webex.com. You can also download the Cisco WebEx meetings application on your mobile device, laptop, desktop or tablet prior to the hearing and join the meeting at the hearing time by entering the corresponding access code and password listed above.To facilitate an orderly hearing that can be preserved for the record, members of the public who wish to participate in the WebEx question-and-answer session or make a comment to the Commission during a WebEx hearing should register by calling 1-800-392-4211 by 5 p.m. the day before the hearing.
Those who are unable to attend a local public hearing can offer written comments by contacting the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Background
On Feb. 2, 2024, Evergy Missouri West filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a net increase in its base rates of approximately $104.5 million.
Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 340,300 customers in the Missouri counties of Andrew, Atchison, Barton, Bates, Benton, Buchanan, Carroll, Cass, Cedar, Clay, Clinton, Dade, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Ray, St. Clair, Vernon and Worth.
