Vancouver Police arrest suspect in shooting at shopping mall

On November 2, 2024, Vancouver Police arrested the suspect in the shooting at the Vancouver Mall on October 31^st. Travis L. Ward, 22, was identified, and detectives received information that he was inside a residence in Vancouver. Vancouver Police Detectives, with assistance from SWAT, arrived at the residence and Ward surrendered and was taken into custody.

Ward was booked into the Clark County Jail for Murder I, and two counts of Assault I.

Detectives wish to thank everyone that submitted information and tips that assisted with this case. Most of the tips came through Facebook.

Detectives have identified the two females who were pictured in the Crime Stopper release. They were cooperative with detectives regarding this investigation. Neither are considered suspects or persons of interest in the crime.

The investigation is continuing and nothing further is being released at this time.
