ENMU Announces Region First Ever Drone Show as Part of 90th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration

Portales, NM - August 23, 2024 - Eastern New Mexico University announced today that they would host the first-ever drone show in this region of the state as part of its 90th-anniversary homecoming celebration happening Sept. 30-Oct 6, 2024.

Eastern New Mexico University has partnered with Open Sky Drone Light Shows out of Salt Lake City, Utah, to provide a first-of-its-kind drone show to Eastern New Mexico.

Open Sky Drone Light Shows will provide a sound and lights show with a music soundtrack and custom animations. The drones will launch at the conclusion of the bonfire and pep rally on Friday, Oct. 4, at 7:30 p.m. near the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.

"We will be celebrating history and making history! ENMU will provide this drone show as part of its 90th-anniversary homecoming celebration, which includes week-long events highlighting the history of the University and the excitement surrounding the campus going forward into the next 90 years."
