HURON, Ohio - Bowling Green State University Firelands, in partnership with Ganley Automotive Group, invites the community to register for "Breaking Barriers - An Insightful Documentary with Panel Discussion on Disability Empowerment" on Tuesday, March 19, at the Cedar Point Center Auditorium on the Huron campus to embark on a day of conversation, enlightenment and empowerment.
The day will begin at 9 a.m. with a screening of the acclaimed 2020 documentary "Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution," showcasing the journey of disability rights activists and their pivotal role in sparking change.
Following the documentary, a panel of distinguished experts will convene at 11 a.m. to share insights and engage in a dynamic discussion on disability rights and regional services. The panelists include:
After the enriching panel discussion, attendees are invited to a lunchtime reception generously sponsored by Ganley Automotive Group. The event culminates with a second, optional, screening of "Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution" starting at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Point Center Auditorium.
