Post-Match Report

What Kabar now has in common with Evanilson

Despite taking an early lead, BVB remained without a victory in their fourth away game of this Bundesliga season. And as with the game in Madrid during the week, they once again gave away a lead. Despite their possession (68 percent), the Borussians couldn't capitalise on goal-getter Serhou Guirassy, while on the opposing team, Alexis Claude-Maurice celebrated a perfect debut as part of the starting line-up, scoring two goals.

Despite their possession (68 percent), the Borussians couldn't capitalise on goal-getter Serhou Guirassy, while on the opposing team, Alexis Claude-Maurice celebrated a perfect debut as part of the starting line-up, scoring two goals.

Second yellow debut: Almugera Kabar was the third Dortmunder, after Brazilian player Evanilson and Markus Brzenska, to be sent off in his Bundesliga debut. Historically, there have only been three players who were younger than Kabar, who was given a second yellow card at 18.39 years old, when they were sent off: Maurizio Gaudino (17.74 years), Jude Bellingham (17.82 years) and Sammy Kuffour (18.21 years).

\n

Loss of stable defence: On the first two match days of the Bundesliga, BVB kept a clean sheet, but haven't managed to do so since then, and their tally of goals conceded currently stands at 14.

\n

Provider of assists: Serhou Guirassy has already scored four goals for BVB in the league, and has now gained his first direct assist as a Borussian in the Bundesliga.

Early start: The Borussians scored their earliest goal of this Bundesliga season (fourth minute). The last time they scored so early was on the 32nd day of the previous season, also against Augsburg.

\n

Goalscorer: Donyell Malen had already scored on Tuesday against Madrid in the Champions League, meaning that two of his three goals in competitive matches this season were scored this week. It was also the third time in a row that he scored in a game against FCA.

\n

Novices: The two 18-year-olds Cole Campbell and Almugera Kabar, the 19-year-old Filippo Mane, and the 21-year-old Yannik Lührs - four players without any kind of Bundesliga experience were on the bench for BVB. For Kjell Wätjen, also just 18 years young, it was only his third Bundesliga game.

\n

Bench debut: National player Pascal Groß has been in the starting line-up on every Bundesliga match day so far, but in Augsburg he started on the bench for the first time since his transfer. He also started on the bench in the Champions League game in Madrid during the week.

\n

A success: In their 27th Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund, FC Augsburg achieved their fourth victory - the first in four years.
