Amherst Madison CEO to Address Employee Ownership

Robert McCoy, President and CEO of Amherst Madison, will offer his insight into the advantages of employee ownership at the next Fresh Start Breakfast on Tuesday, August 13, at the University of Charleston's Downtown Innovation Hub.

Breakfast, catered by Café Appalachia, will be provided.

Amherst Madison Inc. is an employee-owned boat repair, towing, and construction company in Charleston that has been in business since 1893. It has approximately 330 employees.

McCoy, a Matewan, WV, native, began his career in public accounting, then joined Amherst Madison's construction operations. His roles at Amherst have included Construction Operations Manager, CFO, COO, and Director. He is a current board member of the Waterways Council Inc. and a Trustee of the National Waterways Foundation.

"Fresh Start Breakfast" is part of a series of events sponsored by Huntington Bank at the UC Downtown Innovation Hub as part of its Inspiring Innovation speaker programming. Programs will be offered every other month through October 2024.
