House Republicans’ Project 2025 Harms American Workers

House Republicans and Donald Trump's agenda would weaken protections for workers across the country

Today, people across the country are celebrating American workers and honoring the legacy of the Labor movement - meanwhile, House Republicans and Donald Trump are plotting to take workers' rights and protections away.

House Republicans and Donald Trump's Project 2025 would eviscerate current overtime protections, making it easier to exploit workers. Project 2025 proposes that federal rules should be changed to exclude more people from receiving overtime pay.

House Republicans' Project 2025 would disastrously turn back the clock by directing the federal government to allow more child labor in dangerous or risky environments, and would make it harder for workers to access unemployment benefits.

Under Project 2025, House Republicans would undermine the right to form a union and collectively bargain by banning public sector unions, letting employers retaliate against organizers, and giving states the power to ban unions entirely.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
"House Republicans and Donald Trump are pushing an anti-worker agenda that hurts families. Voters can see their extremism for what it is, and know that it's time to restore a Democratic majority in November to grow the middle class, create good-paying jobs, lower costs, and stand up for workers nationwide."
