Meeting with the Advisor of the Center for Strategic and Security Studies "NatStrat"

On September 9, 2024, a meeting was held between the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev and the Advisor of the independent non-profit center for strategic and security studies of India "NatStrat" Shantanu Mukherjee.

During the conversation, the parties discussed regional security issues, including the development of the situation in Afghanistan, as well as the possible joint actions to resolve the situation in this country.

The Indian side was informed about the measures taken by Uzbekistan to facilitate the launch of a peaceful political process, as well as the transport and communication projects being implemented in Afghanistan.

Mr. Mukherjee especially emphasized the active participation of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan, as well as the restoration of its socio-economic infrastructure.
