A free event is taking place to give residents in Liverpool advice on energy efficiency.
The Winter Warmer at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool One on Friday 29 November from 10am - 2pm, will see a range of organisations coming together to offer advice on issues including:
• Fuel poverty
• Tackling debt
• Healthy eating
• Social/lifestyle information
• Emergency fuel and food payments
There will also be free food packs with recipes (whilst stocks last), the opportunity to check if people are receiving all the benefits they are entitled to, health checks and the chance to find out if you are entitled to energy efficiency funding to make your home warmer.
Winter warmer packs with hats, gloves, blankets, hot water bottle and other items will also be available (whilst stocks last).
Everyone attending will get a free hot drink when they arrive.
Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Councillor Laura Robertson-Collins, said: "We know that winter is a tough time for many people, with concerns over staying warm.
"This is an opportunity for our residents to find out how to make their home more energy efficient, and if they are getting all of the benefits they are entitled to.
"There will also be advice from organisations who can help with related issues such as eating healthily.
"Entry is free, and everyone who comes gets a free hot drink to warm them up from the cold outside.
"We hope people find it a useful event."
