9/12/24 Aggravated UUW/Poss. Machine Gun/Stolen Handgun
(PEORIA, IL) On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at approximately 6:18 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department's Special Investigations Division (SID) made contact with an adult male in the 1800 block of N. Gale. The male identified as 21-year-old JCarion M. Ziegler was detained by officers.
During a search of Ziegler, officers located a loaded handgun with an external auto-sear conversion kit (switch) on his person. The handgun was reported stolen.
Ziegler was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession of a Machine Gun.
Ziegler was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
