Lyceum Late Nights: Exhibits, Shopping, and Festive Fun

Lafayette's Grand Tour Holiday Ornament (2024)

Celebrate the holiday season with Lyceum Late Nights at the Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum, located at 201 S. Washington Street. On December 6, 12, and 19, the museum will stay open until 9 p.m., offering a unique opportunity to enjoy exhibits, shop for distinctive gifts, and delight in the festive atmosphere.

Guests can support Historic Alexandria by purchasing thoughtful gifts perfect for history enthusiasts and City residents. This year's highlight is the 2024 Historic Alexandria holiday ornament, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Lafayette's visit to Alexandria in 1824. This beautiful keepsake features the "Lafayette House," where the iconic figure stayed during his time in the city. The three-inch brass ornament comes in a custom box with a card detailing its historical significance. Visit the museum gift shop or shop online at Lafayette Ornament.

A cash bar will be available from 4-9 p.m., making Lyceum Late Nights an ideal stop for festive evenings in Old Town Alexandria.
