Detectives Investigate Robbery That Left a Woman Shot in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District

Robbery detectives are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured in Chinatown International District early morning.

Shortly before 12:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 600 block of South Jackson Street.

Police arrived and located an adult woman with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Seattle Fire Department arrive and provided aid. The female was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

Officers secured the scene, interviewed witnesses, and collected evidence.

Based on the investigation, officers determined two unidentified suspects entered the business and demanded money. There was an altercation between the suspects and the victim, and a shot was fired, striking the woman. Shortly after the incident the suspects fled the scene with stolen cash.

Robbery Unit Detectives will be leading the investigation.
