Freeze Warning Issued for Tonight

Be prepared, Cedar Park! A Freeze Warning has been issued for Williamson County beginning at midnight tonight and lasting through 8am tomorrow.

As temperatures drop, remember to protect the 4 P's: People, pets, pipes, and plants. Minimize time outdoors and prepare properly for power outages. Keep your pets warm, dry, and indoors as much as possible, ensuring their food and water doesn't freeze. Insulate pipes, open sink cabinets, and disconnect hoses and sprinklers. Know your plants' temperature thresholds and cover them before the cold weather sets in.

Cold outside? Avoid the risk of frostbite and hypothermia by dressing in layers, covering exposed skin, and limiting time outdoors. If someone might be experiencing either condition, seek medical attention immediately - and know your actions.
