Connie Chung. In Connie: A Memoir, journalist Connie Chung describes her career as an Asian woman in a white male-centered world. Chung was tenacious in her pursuit of stories - battling rival reporters to secure scoops that ranged from interviewing Magic Johnson to covering the Watergate scandal - and quickly became a household name. She made history when she achieved her dream of being the first woman to co-anchor the CBS Evening News and the first Asian to anchor any news program in the U.S. Chung's book covers showdowns with powerful men in and out of the newsroom to the stories behind some of her career-defining reporting and the unwavering support of her husband, Maury Povich. Tickets.

Malcolm Gladwell. Twenty-five years after the publication of his first book, Gladwell presents a new volume that reframes the lessons of The Tipping Point. Revenge of The Tipping Point revisits the phenomenon of social epidemics and examines the ways in which we have learned to tinker with and shape the spread of ideas, viruses, and trends-sometimes with great success, sometimes with disastrous consequences. Gladwell shows that-whether in neighborhoods, schools, zoos, or conference rooms-today's epidemics are turbocharged versions of their earlier counterparts, and we are more tempted than ever to try to manipulate tipping points for our own ends. Yet these efforts often come at a cost, creating difficult tradeoffs and unexpected dilemmas. Above all, we must recognize our responsibility-as individuals and as a society-to take tipping points seriously if we want to change our world for the better. Tickets.

Chris Wallace will speak about his book, Countdown 1960: The Behind-the-Scenes Story of the 312 Days that Changed America's Politics Forever. A new work and a fresh take on 1960 and the dramatic 11 months leading up to a deeply relevant election, Countdown 1960 takes readers through the 11 months leading up to the presidential election between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon. This is the third installment of Wallace's Countdown series. From the challenge of primary battles in a nation that had never elected a Catholic president, to the intense machinations of the national conventions - where JFK chose Lyndon Johnson as his running mate over the objections of his brother Bobby - this is a nonfiction political thriller. Like many popular histories, readers will be familiar with the story, but few will know the behind-the-scenes details. Tickets.
