HE&R Celebrates Global Diversity Awareness Month 2024

October is Global Diversity Awareness Month

In celebration of Global Diversity Awareness Month, this email was sent to Hershey Entertainment & Resorts team members.

Throughout October, we are encouraged to celebrate the many diverse cultures across the globe through Global Diversity Awareness Month. Recognizing different experiences and heritages helps create greater workplace diversity, a broader sense of belonging and a more dynamic environment.

According to NationalToday.com, the roots of Global Diversity Awareness Month date back to the end of the Second World War."The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly at the Palais de Chaillot, in Paris. The Declaration represents the first global expression of rights to which all human beings are inherently entitled. It is essentially an acknowledgment that we should remember and understand the value of each human being, regardless of their nationality, color, race, sex, gender, country of origin, language, or otherwise."

Global Cuisine

To celebrate this month, our culinary teams at The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, and Hersheypark Entertainment Complex will feature tastes from Japan, Africa, South America, Argentina, Asia, and Europe. For information, check out menu specials at each property's team member cafeteria locations.
