SOUTH FULTON, GA - (August 6, 2024) - The City of South Fulton is proud to announce the launch of the newly designed logo for the Historic Red Oak District, marking a significant milestone in our mission to revitalize the community. This new branding initiative aligns with our mission to transform the Red Oak District into a vibrant destination where individuals, families, and businesses can thrive. The logo, reflecting the district's rich heritage and promising future, will be prominently featured on new Gateway Signage, Street Sign Toppers, and Street Banners throughout the area.

Dr. Sylvia Carter, Red Oak District Board Chairperson, shared the significance of the new logo: "Our new logo represents our rich history. Rooted in tradition, growing towards the future. The Red Oak District is where strength meets vision."

In addition to the new logo, we are excited to announce the start of the renovation process for the Main Street office located at 4800 Campbell Drive. This project signifies the beginning of a series of enhancements designed to breathe new life into the heart of our district. It will foster an environment where history and innovation come together beautifully.

Councilmember Helen Zenobia Willis, MFA, who has been instrumental in this initiative, emphasized the importance of this effort: "I initiated the legislation to create the Red Oak Historic District Main Street four years ago. The aim is to collaborate with both long-time and new residents to revitalize and redevelop the historic main street area into a vibrant community. I'm proud of the progress being made with the new branding and the five-year redevelopment plan."

These efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to making the Red Oak District a cornerstone of community pride and growth.
