Youth Voices: GOAL!

Week 5. More than halfway being done with my internship. It's going better than it was in the beginning. Honestly halfway done with both of my projects! I do not remember if I mentioned my projects, but I am currently on 2 different projects. One is Benchmarking (I am happy to say that I lead this one) and the other one is Mapping of Competitive Funds. Benchmarking is kinda complicated to explain but it is the idea to compare different businesses/organizations to yours and see what they are doing better and how your organization needs to improve and adapt to greatness. Mapping of Competitive Funds is finding funds that your business qualifies for and making a plan on how to apply for them. This week I had my 15 day check in with the rest of my group. It is refreshing to see what everyone else is doing and seeing all the projects outside of mine interconnecting with each other.

July 4th, it was another typical work day here in Costa Rica, but I did have people tell me "Happy Independence Day", which was endearing and kind of them to remember a holiday that is celebrated in the United States and not much anywhere else (why would it be lol). This was also the day of the meeting. It went well and I was told that my group is on the right track and Luis Carlos told us what our next steps will be and what we needed to do for the finished product. July 6th, another Museum. The Jade Museum was very pretty and one of the ones that I would highly recommend! It was educational with 5 different floors with all different important historical features.
