H.E. Rath Sovannorak, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, met with delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by Ms. Kelly Hattel, Senior Financial Sector Specialist, this morning, Tuesday 8th October, 2024 at the National Bank of Cambodia, Sen Sok.

Ms Kelly Hatel updated the meeting about the new policy-based loan program on Sustainable Inclusive Finance Development Program (SIFDP)
that ADB plans to provide to the Royal Government of Cambodia as well as discussed possible priority areas to be reformed such as Financial Literacy, Consumer Protection, sustainable finance, among others.

Meanwhile, H.E. Deputy Governor also highlighted about the progress of project implementation under the ADB's supports. The NBC looks forward to further supports from the ADB on various initiatives of the National Bank of Cambodia that contribute to the development of the banking and financial sector of the country.
