NOTICE OF INTENT TO AMEND UPLAND MINING LEASE ADL 674057
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water hereby gives notice that the locator listed in this notice has requested to amend and renew their upland mining lease, under AS 38.05.205(a), 11 AAC 86.305 and 11 AAC 86.312.
Prior to amending the mining lease, the state is required to issue a newspaper notice of the leasing action and determine if there are any conflicting mineral right interests. Unless the Division of Mining, Land and Water is notified of conflicting mineral right interests, the lease will be amended, 30 days or more after the date of this notice.
Locator:Northern Star (POGO), LLC, 3204 International Street, Fairbanks, AK 99701
Location:Lease ADL 674057, located in the Fairbanks Recording District. Fairbanks Meridian; Township 005 South, Range 014 East, Sections 14-16, 21 - 23, and 27-28; Adding 67 claims lease area ADL 563632-39, POGO 1343-46 and POGO 1443-1446; ADL 563641-44, POGO 1543-46; ADL 565932, POGO 1646; ADL 565937-41. POGO 1746-1750; ADL 575445-47, POGO 1340-42; ADL 575448-50, POGO 1440-42; ADL 575451-53, POGO 1540-42; ADL 575454-59, POGO 1640-45; ADL 575461-65, POGO 1741-45; ADL 575466-70, POGO 1746A-50A; ADL 575471-75, POGO 1846-50; ADL 592822-26, POGO 1741A-45A; ADL 592828-32, POGO 1841-45; ADL 601302-03, POGO 1945-46; ADL614991-97, POGO 6000-06, will be approximately 1,505 with a total of 3,825 acres lease.
Mining lessees have the exclusive right of possession and extraction of locatable minerals subject to AS 38.05.185 - 38.05.275. Leases are issued for the term it takes to mine and are renewable if necessary. The lease will require mandatory rent and production royalty requirements. Once the lease is issued, the lessee must obtain all required permits before exploration or mining can occur.
