Two 15 Year Olds Arrested with Firearms in Dorchester

At about 5:15 PM, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested two 15-year-old Juvenile males, on multiple firearm charges.

Officers responded to the area of 54 Armandine Street for a report of a kidnapping. Upon arrival, officers were advised that three males kidnapped a juvenile male at gunpoint after an argument over a scooter.

About thirty minutes later, officers responded to the area of 180 Westview Street for a report of a person with a gun. Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of two juvenile males in possession of firearms. Officers were advised that the victim was kidnapped at gunpoint and driven to the area of Franklin Field in an unknown vehicle.

Officers began to search the area and observed one of the juvenile suspects. As officers approached the suspect, he attempted to flee the area. Officers were able to quickly stop the suspect a placed him into handcuffs. Officers continued to search the area for the second suspect and located him in the area of 70 Ames Street.

Officers canvassed the area of the suspects, and located two discarded firearms. The first firearm was later determined to be Smith & Wesson 9mm affixed with a laser flashlight, with one round in the chamber and fourteen rounds in the magazine. The second firearm was determined to be a Polymer 80 with sixteen rounds in the magazine.

Both 15-year-old juvenile males were placed under arrest and charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Delinquent to wit; Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Delinquent to wit; Armed Robbery (Masked), and Delinquent to wit; Kidnapping. Both are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
