Nestlé Supports Communities Impacted by Hurricane Helene

Back to Press releases

To help communities across the southeastern United States impacted by Hurricane Helene, Nestlé is activating to provide food, water and financial assistance to those experiencing the devastating effects of the storm.

Supporting the communities where we live and operate is central to Nestlé, especially during times of crisis or disaster. The impacts of Hurricane Helene have been devastating, leading to severe flooding and leaving thousands without food, electricity or clean water. In addition to ensuring our employees across the region are safe, Nestlé is actively working with its nonprofit partners, customers and employees to support the communities, people, and facilities impacted by the storm.

Nestlé's businesses across the U.S. have been working quickly to contribute funds and deliver product donations totaling approximately $2.3 million to help with relief efforts, including:

  • Nestlé USA is donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross to support immediate hurricane relief efforts and is leveraging its internal giving platform to match employee donations to the American Red Cross dollar-for-dollar. The company is also donating over $100,000 to various local charities in and around Gaffney, South Carolina, where its prepared foods factory is located.
  • Essentia Water is donating over 100,000 cases of Hydroboost to organizations across several states including Good360, Greater Good Charities, and Convoy of Hope.
  • Nestlé Health Science is donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross to support hurricane relief efforts.
  • Nestlé Purina PetCare is donating $25,000 to Greater Good Charities and several Purina factories are shipping dog and cat food and cat litter to Greater Good Charities warehouses in the southeast to be distributed to organizations that are caring for displaced pets.

Nestlé will continue to monitor and provide support to the communities impacted over the coming weeks and stay in close contact with local organizations, partners and employees to assess ongoing needs on the ground.
