IME Sold 2.2 Million Tonnes of Commodities

Within the week ending on July 19, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 2,214,224 tonnes of commodities and 20 vehicles with a total trading value of more than 475 million USD on its physical market.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 1,748,082 tonnes of commodities valued at nearly 254 million USD.

On this floor the IME sold 979,449 tonnes of cement, 381,000 tonnes of iron ore, 294,550 tonnes of sponge iron, 81,808 tonnes of steel, 5,220 tonnes of aluminum, 4,945 tonnes of copper, 910 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 20 vehicles.

Moreover, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 485,523 tonnes of commodities worth more than 213 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 174,500 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 107,265 tonnes of polymeric products, 86,151 tonnes of bitumen, 36,348 tonnes of chemicals, 45,000 tonnes of lube cut, 32,500 tonnes of sulfur, 5,408 tonnes of oil and 520 tonnes of feedstocks.

The IME also traded within the same week 6,425 tonnes of goods on its side market.
