Montana State to host 2024 Fall Career Fair

BOZEMAN - Over 300 employers will visit Montana State University on Oct. 1-4 to recruit students for internships and full-time positions at the annual Fall Career Fair hosted by the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success.

National employers from the private and public sectors, as well as numerous local employers, such as Bozeman Public Schools, Billings Clinic, Bridger Photonics, Family Outreach, onXmaps, Inc., and the State of Montana - Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, will meet with students in informal settings, at dedicated networking events and at on-campus interviews.

Jennifer Shore, director of Career and Internship Services, said Career Fair week offers Bobcats an opportunity to engage with employers from a wide variety of industries, recruiting for all majors. "There truly is something for everyone, whether building connections and starting the networking process, developing experiential learning with an internship, or finding meaningful work in a full-time position."

A reception-style Internship Networking Event is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Strand Union Building Ballrooms, where representatives from more than 100 companies will meet students who are seeking internships.

Another networking event, the Bobcat Networking Reception Roam, will take place in the SUB on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., featuring employers from various industries who are interested in meeting with all students.

The main career fair event will be at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 2-3, where students may visit hundreds of employer booths. On-campus interviews will take place Oct. 3-4.

Assistant Director of Industry and Employer relations at the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success, Halley Perry, said all students from freshmen to seniors are strongly encouraged to attend.

"It's an excellent chance to explore various industries, speak with employers, and gain insights into potential career paths," she said. "Don't forget to bring a resume, a handshake, and a friendly smile."
