New ‘Buy Local Program’ for West Grand Avenue Businesses

The City of Grover Beach, in partnership with the South County Chambers of Commerce, is excited to announce the launch of a new "Buy Local Program"! This program, effective June 25, encourages community members to dine and shop at local businesses impacted by West Grand Avenue Streetscape 4th-8th Street Project construction.

For every $100 spent at eligible businesses, customers can receive a $25 gift card to a Grover Beach restaurant, brewery, winery or retail establishment on West Grand Avenue. The full list of participating businesses is available on the Chambers' website. Through this program, residents and visitors can support the Grover Beach economy while also enjoying a shopping or dining experience.

"We are proud to establish this Buy Local Program and rally support behind our beloved West Grand Avenue businesses," said Grover Beach Mayor Karen Bright. "I encourage all community members to come together and contribute to their success during this busy and transformative time for our City."

On June 24, the Grover Beach City Council allocated $15,000 to the Buy Local Program. All program details, including how to submit receipts, can be found on the Chambers' website. Receipts must be dated after June 25, 2024 to qualify. The area of eligibility spans from PCH/Highway 1 to 9th Street, between Ramona Avenue and Rockaway Avenue.
