One northbound lane closed on Interstate 55 near Route Z for emergency pavement repairs

JEFFERSON COUNTY- Drivers traveling in Jefferson County on northbound I-55 south of Route Z should consider alternate routes due to an emergency pavement repair. Crews will close one northbound lane on Interstate 55 near Route Z starting at approximately 10 a.m. today. The lane will remain closed until 5 a.m. Friday, September 27.

Motorists are encouraged to give themselves extra time to travel through this area as backups are expected.
