The Council's youth team at St Ives and Gordon will be hosting school holiday activities for young residents aged 12 to 24.

The fun begins tomorrow Tuesday 9 July with a dumpling making workshop between 1.30pm and 4pm at Gordon youth hub next to the library at 799 Pacific Highway Gordon.

On Thursday 11 July a 'canvas to clothing' workshop will be held outside St Ives youth hub near the St Ives Shopping Village. Between 2pm and 5pm young people can collaborate on an artwork that will be shared across a large banner and then printed onto clothing they can wear.

The workshop is suitable for 12 to 24 year olds and costs $20 to attend.

On Friday 12 July budding bakers get the chance to learn how to create mouth-watering healthy desserts that are perfect for the winter weather. The free baking workshop will be held at St Ives Community Centre in Memorial Avenue between 11am and 1.30pm.

In a first for Ku-ring-gai's young people, a free pet therapy class will be held on Tuesday 16 July between 1pm and 2.30pm at St Ives Youth Hub.

The class offers a unique opportunity to connect with adorable therapy pets while learning about the incredible benefits they bring to mental and emotional wellbeing

Brush up your tennis skills on Wednesday 17 July with a coaching session at St Ives Village Green between 2pm and 4pm. The session will teach young people the basic skills required on court using fun tennis drills and then work up to friendly matches. The cost is $10 per person and suitable for 12-24 year olds.

On Thursday 18 July between 12.30pm and 3pm there's a free ping pong tournament happening at Gordon Youth Hub, followed by a BBQ.

The school holiday activities wrap on Friday 19 July at St Ives Village Green with an Amazing Race event for young people aged 12-24. Participants form teams and embark on an exciting journey filled with problems to solve and challenges to conquer from interactive puzzles to physical tasks.

The Amazing Race culminates in a finish line celebration where participants can enjoy refreshments and celebrate their achievements together.
