Felony Drug Arrest Poughkeepsie

On August 29, 2024, the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit arrested a Poughkeepsie man for felony drug possession following a traffic stop.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., Troopers initiated a traffic stop of a 2024 Chevrolet sedan on Main Street in the city of Poughkeepsie for violations of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation determined the operator, Yahmir Dubois, age 19, was in possession of approximately 7.6 grams of crack cocaine. He was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell in the 3^rd degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug in the 4^th degree, a class C felony.

Dubois was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Poughkeepsie Court at a later date.
